Sports Minister Kelvin Cruz led the groundbreaking ceremony for the municipal baseball stadium in Consuelo, San Pedro de Macorís. The project aims to give children and young people in the area an adequate space to train and develop their skills in the sport.

The project will cost 26 million Dominican pesos and cover an area of roughly 11,476.20 square meters. The minister also warned the responsible company that it must work without interruption until the stadium is complete, a project that, in his words, has been awaited for 20 years.
