  • Hilna Pierre, a Haitian resident of the Dominican Republic, made the appeal to Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele.
  • According to Pierre, hundreds of young Haitians are willing to help with aid initiatives.
  • She proposes that local youth guide aid efforts to communities and hard-to-reach areas.
  • No response from Bukele has been reported, and no formal organization was named behind the offer.

Hilna Pierre, a Haitian woman living in the Dominican Republic, has called on Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele. In her message, she said hundreds of young Haitians want to help find solutions to the crisis facing the Caribbean nation.

According to Pierre, these young people can contribute their knowledge of the territory and local communities. She believes that information could help guide those involved in aid projects and reach hard-to-access areas.

"There are hundreds of young Haitians who are willing to be part of the solution to Haiti's current problems. If at some point you need help from locals, issue a statement and rest assured you will find many locals willing to help," Pierre said.

She did not specify whether a formal organization brings these young people together, nor did she present a concrete collaboration plan or describe what kinds of projects she has in mind.

Pierre suggested that if the participation of people familiar with the territory is needed, a public call could be issued, and she expressed confidence that volunteers would step forward.

No response from the Salvadoran president has been reported so far. The statement is a citizen proposal and does not imply an agreement, an official call, or a joint initiative between El Salvador and Haitian youth groups.
