Key points

  • The hospital launched an automated queue system.
  • Patients will be called automatically according to their number and specialty.
  • The queue number is generated when the appointment is confirmed.
  • The system complements the *753 appointment booking system.

The management of Dr. Ángel Contreras Hospital in Monte Plata, together with its technology department, has launched an automated queue system. The goal is to bring more order to the billing process.

Under the new system, people who visit the health center will no longer need to stand in line to pay for their consultations. The system will automatically call each patient according to their number and specialty, reducing the time the process takes.

When a patient confirms an appointment, the system automatically generates a queue number. That number will be used for billing and later to proceed to the consultation in the scheduled specialty.

According to official information, the process also helps maintain effective health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The automated queue system complements the *753 Appointment Management System, which lets users schedule consultations from home.

Why it matters

Patients can skip billing lines and save time on hospital visits. The process also helps keep COVID-19 health protocols in place.
