Amelia Alcántara Denies Caro Brito's Lawsuit and Dares Her to File

The Dominican presenter says she was never sued and challenges her former co-host to take the case to court.

Key points

  • Amelia Alcántara says she received a cease-and-desist notice, not a lawsuit.
  • Alcántara says she has been waiting more than two or three months for a court summons.
  • The conflict stems from their time together on Sin Filtro Radio Show.
  • Alcántara accuses Brito of constantly reigniting the dispute.

The dispute between Amelia Alcántara and Caro Brito escalated again after the Dominican presenter publicly denied being sued by the Colombian broadcaster, as the latter had claimed days earlier.

During an appearance on the radio program Al Pelo, Alcántara explained that the document she received is not a lawsuit but an intimation, a legal notice requesting that a certain conduct stop.

"You didn't sue me, stop putting on a crown you never earned. I'm waiting for the lawsuit; you sent me an intimation, and there's no fear here," she said, challenging Brito to formalize the legal action.

Alcántara insisted she has been waiting for an official summons for months. "Send me the summons, I'm waiting for it. It's been two or three months," she added during the broadcast.

Beyond rejecting Brito's version, Alcántara accused her of constantly reigniting the conflict and questioned her use of bodyguards.

The dispute traces back to when both shared the screen on Sin Filtro Radio Show, a program from which Alcántara says she was dismissed due to her former co-host's responsibility.
