DGII Launches "Intégrate 1,2,3,4" to Formalize Small Businesses in 20 Minutes

The Dominican tax agency has unveiled a digital tool that cuts business tax registration from 15 working days to about 20 minutes.
Key points
- The solution, called "Intégrate 1,2,3,4," targets taxpayers with annual income below RD$1,000,000.
- According to the agency, it reduces registration and compliance from 15 working days to 20 minutes.
- It can be accessed through the DGII Móvil app and the Oficina Virtual 3.0 (OFV) portal.
- It is aimed at skilled trades, small shops, and personal services, among others.
The Dominican Directorate General of Internal Taxes (DGII) has unveiled "Intégrate 1,2,3,4," a technology solution designed to make it easier for taxpayers with annual income below RD$1,000,000 to join the tax system, provided they are eligible for the Basic Simplified Tax Regime (RST).
The tool is meant to replace multiple procedures and checks that previously required prior tax knowledge. Instead, it offers a guided, assisted experience to help people formalize their status and meet their tax obligations.
According to the DGII, the solution is expected to cut a process that currently takes about 15 working days down to roughly 20 minutes. Access will be fully online through the agency's digital channels, including the DGII Móvil app and the Oficina Virtual 3.0 (OFV).
The process has two phases. The first lets the taxpayer register, access the OFV and the free invoicing tool, learn their obligations, and enroll in the RST. A Tax Eligibility Engine identifies the type of activity, verifies the income limit, and determines whether the person qualifies for the Basic RST. The second phase provides guided assistance to meet obligations through a simple form.
The solution applies to eligible individuals in the Basic RST segment, including skilled trades, operational services, handicraft activities, small shops, and personal services. Large taxpayers and other segments that require different treatment under current regulations are excluded.
The DGII said the initiative will transform formalization in the Dominican Republic, making tax registration as easy as creating a digital account.
Why it matters
Small business owners and tradespeople in the Dominican Republic can formalize and meet their tax obligations faster, without going to a tax office in person.
