Dominicans living in New York condemned the assault of an elderly man on a young activist with Turning Point Action (TPAction), which took place Tuesday in New Hampshire, El Nacional reported.

According to images of the incident, the visibly enraged man shouted at and insulted the volunteer. Before slapping him with the back of his hand, he said: "You have no idea who I am!" He then leaned over the table, struck him, and walked off.

The attack took place at Woodland Heights School in Laconia, according to the Belknap County Republican Committee, as reported by El Nacional. Neither the victim nor the attacker has been identified. The activist barely reacted to the blow.

TPAction is a nonprofit organization classified under section 501(c)(4) that works directly with voters to elect conservative leaders. Its "Chase the Vote" initiative deploys thousands of field organizers in key states to support Donald Trump's election, according to El Nacional.

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, a native of New Hampshire, posted on X: "More despicable behavior from the left." She added that she trusts law enforcement will handle the case as quickly as possible.
