A section of the 6 de Noviembre Highway will be closed overnight for work in Quita Sueño. Here are the hours and the alternate routes.

Key points

  • Partial closure from 10:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, until 5:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31.
  • The work involves installing beams on the motorized and pedestrian crossing in Quita Sueño.
  • One lane will be open in each direction in the work area.
  • The Santo Domingo Circunvalación and the Sánchez highway are the alternate routes.

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported a partial closure of the 6 de Noviembre Highway at the Quita Sueño exit, due to beam installation work on the motorized and pedestrian crossing in that area.

The work will begin at 10:00 p.m. This Friday, October 30, and end at 5:00 a.m. On Saturday, October 31. During that period, traffic will be diverted and one lane will be open in each direction in the work area.

Drivers may use the Santo Domingo Circunvalación and the Sánchez highway as alternate routes. Agents from Digesett, Intrant and Comipol will be on site to assist traffic.

The MOPC asked drivers to take necessary precautions, obey the signage, and follow the instructions of agents and work personnel. The institution apologized for the inconvenience the work may cause, which it said is part of efforts to improve road connectivity.

Why it matters

Drivers using the 6 de Noviembre Highway or these routes should plan their trips and allow for detours on Friday night.
