Luis Polonia, the legendary former baseball player, has stopped sharing photos and details of his personal life on social media after a controversy over his relationship.
According to an audio recording revealed by the radio program "La Uca," his daughter Bianca Polonia said her father gave up on taking legal action against entertainment commentators, whom he had threatened to sue for alleged defamation against his girlfriend, known as Jennifer. Bianca also said he publicly apologized for his behavior.
In the audio, Bianca explained that her father concluded social media was taking away his peace. She said life on those platforms is very harsh and that he "is not a bad person," though she believes he has been portrayed that way.
Polonia's posts will now be limited to his projects. These include the film "Popiwa," which premieres in December alongside Carlos Antonio Cruz (Caramelo), directed by Eddy Jiménez and produced by Camino Films.
The controversy began when Polonia revealed his relationship on the reality show "La Casa de Alofoke 2." He was then targeted with criticism over the age gap between him and his partner.
