Bulin 47, real name Hancel Teodoro Vargas Reynoso, is a Dominican dembow singer and rapper who was little known until recently. His breakout came in early October with a video shot in Spain.

On October 2, content creator Kevin Wai ran into him outside a nightclub in the Embajadores neighborhood of central Madrid. Kevin plays music on the street and invites people to improvise songs. That night, the Dominican artist improvised rhymes while dancing to dembow. The clip spread across social media and gathered millions of views. What drew the most attention was his shoulder movement and a line he kept repeating: "No ando en película ni ando en paquete, ya todos me conocen, soy Bulin 47."

The success spawned parodies, including AI-generated videos showing soccer players such as Erling Haaland doing the same dance. On October 7, Bulin 47 and Kevin Wai released the song "Dame Hombro."

Before his fame, Bulin worked as a motorcycle driver delivering food to earn a living. He now has more than 8 million Instagram followers, including Rosalía, who has started following him.

His personal story is also part of his path. He grew up in Capotillo, in Santo Domingo, and was raised by Mercedes, whom he considers his true mother. In a podcast with Luz García, he said he has forgiven his biological mother, who left him in the care of his father and Mercedes. His father died when he was 12, a loss that deeply affected him.
