Urban singer Chelsy has announced she has emigrated to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to explore new opportunities and keep growing both personally and professionally.
The announcement came in a video posted this Wednesday on her social media. In it, Bautista, according to Listín Diario, explained that she had long talked with family and friends about the possibility of leaving the Dominican Republic and living in another country.
"I had the dream and the intention of going to another country to discover other opportunities, to grow, but we know that emigrating is not easy, leaving for another country is not a simple decision for me, because I am very attached to my family," the singer said.
Chelsy acknowledged that leaving the country also meant moving away from what she had built there, since it was in the Dominican Republic that she trained professionally and acquired her home and her vehicle.
According to her, her desire to keep learning motivated the decision. She mentioned a cultural exchange in Japan as part of the World Youth Ship, and a trip to China that, she said, transformed the way she sees herself as a young woman and a professional.
After returning from China, she chose a destination with a multicultural environment. Dubai will be her home for now, although she said she will visit her country periodically. "For a time I will be living here, although I will visit my country from time to time," she explained.
